Reality shows love to advertise that they bring the drama and some personalities on these shows talk about how they are the drama because drama is what it’s all about, and College Hill: Celebrity Edition is no different. It’s in its second season and episode 6 got heated real quick when Joseline Hernandez was talking African-American culture with Amber Rose and things got twisted.
Recommended VideosWatching the clip, it’s clear Joseline wants to do all the talking and is hardly letting Amber say anything in her defense. All the while, The Puerto Rican Princess tries to come across like she’s on the Ford model’s side but she’s spewing some trigger words that keep prompting the rapper to respond. In a spiraling conversation, Joseline puts it out there that she doesn’t think Amber wants to embrace her Black heritage while herself, being Spanish and Black, she’s fully embraced hers.
Once Rose has had enough, she stands up like she’s walking out but that’s not what happens at all. In a pathetic disclaimer, the show tried to slip in a slide saying they don’t condone violence. Too bad that’s a bald-faced lie because when the drama is part of the hype, how do they expect someone to behave when they’ve finally had enough and snap?
The show is shot at Texas Southern University, a historically black university, where these celebrities are supposed to be there to get a legitimate education. So, this is a good point.
😩 Joseline definitely made some great points… and even tho Amber is mixed if she feels so uncomfortable around or doesn't identify with Black ppl why is she always in Black spaces? 🤔 https://t.co/SfnYldZ1cA
— Afro American Jay 🇺🇸 ✊🏾 (@AfroAmericanJay) June 8, 2023Fans are on both sides of this one and as the Twitter debate heats up, more and more juicy tidbits come out.
Hahaha Joseline is so wrong and loud for no reason 🤣 let mixed people be mixed tf. That is what they are 🥲 https://t.co/eo41yON5y6
— Jem (@xjnaaaa) June 8, 2023Joseline said it in class to her and Amber Rose said it here as plain as day. She could have owned it in the classroom when they were talking about it but here it is to remind her where she actually stands on the issue.
This is how anyone who watches these shows feels about “We don’t condone violence.” They sure do a pretty good job of hyping it up to the breaking point, though.
College Hill *Promotes Joseline vs Amber fight for ratings*
*Actual fight begins to happen*
College Hill: “We don’t condone violence”
Baby y’all could’ve kept this BS #CollegeHill pic.twitter.com/52StaV02FZ
— 🅿️heno♏enal (@KensPhenoStroke) June 8, 2023There is footage of the fight, there’s no doubt about that and it’s a pure ripoff to some of these fans that they would show only the lead-up but then leave out the action scene.
1) they’re down there tearing Bama State up! 😭
2) Amber should be able to identify how she chooses.
3) Joseline is right. Amber is uncomfortable with her Blackness.
4) not showing the footage but including New York’s comments is MESSY!
5) leak the footage. 😭
6) A1 television!!! https://t.co/Sv3O9GdplW
According to Joseline, she bashed Amber’s head into the glass. Watching the clip, someone said that as the girls were being escorted out of the room to be separated. So, Joseline seems credible in her claim.
ok now I’m mad because I was waiting for this episode to air before I started watching the season and they didn’t even show anything 😒
But according to Joseline https://t.co/5NbmeBTBbQ pic.twitter.com/Y7WPaJXMyo
— Brie’s Acting Coach (@BACStratus_) June 8, 2023In this clip, Joseline wasn’t trying to say she was Black, and now the hypocrisy comes full circle.
Anyone can say Joseline was trying to come across as a champion at first, but it’s obvious that she was trying to provoke her with everything she was saying. Hopefully, they can move on and focus on their education, but as everyone knows, the show will never let that happen.
